Another tutorial!
I'm goimg to teach you how to do this icon: 
from this base: 
Why don't you just try it?
1. Take your base and open it in your graphic program. I use PSP9, but this tutorial is 100% translateble, I promise!
2. Sharpen your base. Duplicate 2 times. Set the first copy (the one above the base) to screen 50% and the copy on the top to hard light 100% opacity.
You'll have this:
3. Make 3 new raster layers. Fill the first one with #000036 (
), set it to exclusion 52%.
Fill the 2nd one with #9cd9ff (
), set it to burn 100%.
Fill the 3rd one with #efb29c (
), set it to overlay 50%.
You'll have this:
. Pretty already isn't it? If you want, you can leave it as this.
4. Make 3 new raster layers again. Set them all to soft light, with 100% opacity.
Fill the first one with #747d46 (
).
The 2nd with #659ebf (
).
And the last one with #eedec6 (
).
Now your icon looks like this:
. A bit too bright, but don't worry, we'll fix it.
5. Again, make 3 new raster layers. (I took them in steps as they are so many.)
Fill the first one with #cfecfd (
), set to burn 100% opacity.
The 2nd one with #c79b5f (
), set to soft light 100%.
The 3rd one with #f1d8f6 (
), set to burn, 100%.
Now you are ready! It wasn't too hard, was it? =D
